Studies the impact of Women on both the African Diaspora and African American Heritage and Culture

The Height Institute constitutes a Think Tank comprising leading female experts of African descent from all corners. These thought leaders embrace knowledge sharing unique to their cultural experiences. The Height Institute will host symposiums, issue calls for papers, curate the “Know Your Heritage, Know Your Story” timeline, and provide other vehicles that promote enlightenment to sustain community cohesion. The goal is to enhance awareness, understanding, and support for the impact women of the African Diaspora have on world affairs. Fellows -

This elite group brings a body of work and professional achievements relative to African American heritage and culture.

Interns -

The African American Heritage Association of Virginia commits to student learning in all phases of its services. Through supervised learning, high school seniors and undergraduate students gain a unique perspective on culture, health, education, and wealth within the African American community, past to present. Additionally, staff and volunteers provide knowledge critical to understanding the full spectrum of African American heritage and culture.

Scholars -

Our Scholars program offers graduate students pursuing studies and scholarly research in African American heritage and culture an opportunity to access foremost authorities within our network of experts. In addition, virtual content from our magazine and journal, and links to other sources, enable students to access information conveniently at any time.

Study Abroad -

AAHA offers a study abroad program for qualified applicants who desire to attend a college or university in a foreign country.

Conceirge Travel-

AAHA offers experiential travel that provides active and meaningful exchange with countries of the global African diaspora. At each destination's culture, you interact with the people and/or environment to create unique, memorable encounters. You visit and are exposed to stories about the history of the diaspora destinations, encountering authentic local experiences and explored to the extraordinary common cultural norms across time and location.
